Janet Jackson is facing a lawsuit from two business managers, Kenneth Crear and Robert D’Imperio, who are seeking $238,000 in unpaid services. The two men are claiming that Jackson failed to pay them for services such as financial advice, tax preparation, and contract review that they provided from 2012 to 2016. According to the lawsuit, Jackson has not responded to their requests for payment and has yet to make any kind of compensation for their services. The two business managers are now demanding payment for their unpaid services, with interest and legal costs included. If Jackson fails to pay the amount requested, they may take further action to get the money they are owed.
Kenneth Crear and Robert D’Imperio are not the first business managers to sue Janet Jackson. In 2017, her former business manager, Leonard Rowe, sued Jackson for $10 million in unpaid fees. The lawsuit alleged that Jackson failed to pay Rowe for his services from 2002 to 2016. Rowe also claimed that Jackson did not provide him with an accounting of how she was spending her money. Jackson settled the case in October 2018, and the terms of the settlement remain confidential. Furthermore, in 2008, another business manager, David Anderson, sued Jackson for $2.3 million in unpaid fees. Anderson claimed that he had been working as Jackson’s business manager since 2001 and had not been paid for his services. That case has yet to be resolved.
